Meet our Lead Technician, Mike Rupe!

Mike has been a part of the GMC Heating and Cooling team for over a decade now. Starting off as a technician, he has worked his way up the ranks to become our Service Manager - which means he’s in charge of all of the work done in the field. Mike spends the majority of his time traveling all over Stark County in the homes of GMC Heating and Cooling customers.

Mike was born and raised in Lakeland Florida. He now lives in Bolivar, Ohio with his wife and three children. They attend Tusky Valley High School, and are active in the Bolivar community. Mike likes to visit Sublime Smoke when he’s craving good BBQ, and Lockport Brewery if he’s looking for a good brew.

When it comes to getting away from work, Mike and his family enjoy spending time on different lakes in Stark and Tuscarawas County. Leesville Lake and Atwood Lake are two of their favorite places to spend time. Mike and his sons particularly enjoy going for catfish and bass fishing.

When we asked Mike for a tip that everyone should know about when it comes to their Heating and Air Conditioning systems, he said three things:

  1. Check your Furnace and Air Conditioner BEFORE it gets too hot, or bitter cold.

  2. Clean your outer coils before turning your Air Conditioner on in the summertime.

  3. Check your HVAC Filters every 30 days to maintain indoor air quality.

Want a hands-off way to make sure you don’t forget to maintain your HVAC System? Ask us about our Preventative Maintenance Program. A GMC Heating and Cooling Technician will visit you twice a year, once in the early spring to check the AC and once in the fall to check the heating elements, and will ensure that everything is working properly prior to the seasons’ drastically changing temperature.

As a bonus, if you are a member of our preventative maintenance program, you can call any time during regular business hours, and receive complimentary diagnostics through the GMC team. Tell us your issue, and we’ll make sure a technician gets out to your property ASAP to take a look.

Heating and Air Conditioning Services by GMC Heating and Cooling

Air Conditioning Services

Although our summers may be short here in Northeast Ohio, they definitely have their fair share of hot and sticky days. At GMC Heating and Cooling, we pride ourselves in early problem detection and 24/7 repair teams to make sure you’re not stuck in the heat. If you’re a member of our “Preventative Maintenance” package, you can call us at any time during regular business hours and we’ll send a technician to your property free of charge. We want to make sure we know exactly what’s going on as soon as possible and offer you solutions to get you taken care of.

Furnace Services

As we mentioned above, our summers here in Northeast Ohio might be short, hot, and humid BUT they’re no match for how cold and windy the winters can be. Finding out your furnace isn’t working in the middle of a snowstorm is quite the day ruiner if you ask me. Imagine coming home after a long day’s work, hoping to get a nice shower and relax in your home - only to realize that it’s almost as cold inside as it is outside. In order to keep your furnace in tip-top shape, we offer preventative maintenance and annual inspections. We can also replace parts and make repairs - as well as help you the size and install a new system if need be.
